The visual and modular project “Selasphoros” (Marina Velisioti and Malvina Panagiotidi) has as its starting point the history of Arkoudospilios on the Akrotiri peninsula, Chania, Crete.
The project follows a narrative path, referring to caves, monasteries and archaeological sites of the region, as well as local mythologies. With stops at the Holy Trinity Monastery of Tzagarolo, Kathiana and Pazinos, actions and projects were carried out: Textiles, video art, installations in the landscape (land art).

The landscape project (land art) was designed after an artistic workshop/experiential walk studying the flora and the political history of the area, which led to the creation of a new formation-symbol. The formation was imprinted on the earth in the form of planting aromatic plants and herbs of the area such as lavender, rosemary, creeping frankincense, thyme, lemon thyme, oregano, sedge, sage.
