Last Resort (Installation)
At the core of the installation lies an “intermediary space” (liminal space), where warrior-figures in clothing-armor move: fighters of desire, imagination, and surviv-
al. Drawing inspiration from the work of Carl Jung (Flying Saucers, 1958), the project does not approach the “unknown” as an alien threat, but as a projection of the collec- tive unconscious during times of crisis. The flying saucer is transformed into an “inter- galactic mandala” of light and rhythm — a ritual space where trauma and transforma- tion coexist.
The work’s aesthetic dialogues with the movie Tron (1982) and 80s fashion, not as a sterile revival, but as active memory. Garment is treated as a magical tool and an ar- mor of identity, a practice of freedom against social violence and political repression.
Armed with humor and the anarchic spirit of the Illuminatus! trilogy and the philoso- phy of Discordianism, “Last Resort” proposes chaos as a cosmic principle. Through a video synthesis of memory images and ironic political commentary, the viewer does not merely watch, but crosses a transition zone. In this “disco-ritual”, the quest for a new order, playful and unpredictable, renders “Last Resort” the ultimate sanctuary of subjectivity.
